After the long day, I will leave my bag by the door. Wrapped in crinkled paper, a shonpapdi and a taste of kuler achaar—I will walk home with you. To the place I have never returned. My red-bricked floor, the attic room, the pond brimming with water lilies, the mango orchard dappled in light and shadow. The math book marked with stickers, my first Pilot fountain pen.  N one will call me back. I won't need to return to anyone else.

টুকরো কথা : ০৪

সময় পেরিয়ে গেলে তবে, ক্ষমা, দিতে চেয়ে নিয়ে আসা শেখা। শেখা দিতে চাওয়া। 
ভালোবাসি, বলেছিলে, শূন্য অনুভব। চেয়েছিলে কিছু তাই, চাওয়া, যেন বন্ধু হতে চায়। সমাধিস্পর্শী এসব । অর্থহীন। ব্যর্থ নামে ডাক তাকে। শুধু হায়, সময় পেরিয়ে গেলে তবে।
